Service ministries during Mass

If you are willing to serve in one of these ministries please call the parish office at 782-3456.

Servers

Adult servers
who act as coordinators for the Mass, ensure that all ministry positions are filled and that all participants are ready for the Mass.

Youth servers
assist at the Altar during worship services. Any young person from grade 4 or older can be a youth server.

Lectors

Lectors are invited to proclaim God's Word at liturgical services. In order to communicate God's message clearly and convincingly, conscientious preparation for reading is an on-going responsibility. Lectors share and re-enforce God's Word by their faith, life and proclamation.

Eucharistic Ministers

A dedicated group of men and women, mandated by the Pastor, assist in distributing Holy Communion at the various Masses. Some also take Holy Communion to the sick and shut-ins and conduct Communion services when necessary. Please contact the office (782-3456) for more information.

Music

Music is of course a very important part of our liturgy and through generous service, music is provided at all weekend masses. Anyone interested in helping out with instrument or voice, please contact Sr. Connie at the Parish Office, 782-3456.

Children's Liturgy

On most Sundays at the 10:00 am Mass, children from kintergarten to Grade 4 are invited to participate in the Children's Liturgy. During this time a simplified version of the day's readings is shared in a group setting in the church basement. After discussion of the readings, the children return to the church to celebrate the Eucharist with their families. Many parents, youth, and other adult volunteers are needed to help lead Children's Liturgy.
