Sacramental preparation

To arrange a suitable time , or to register for any of the following sacraments, please contact the Parish Office at 782-3456.

Anointing of the sick

The elderly and those who are suffering from any serious or chronic illness, may receive this sacrament at any time. Requests may be made personally or through family members or close friends. A seniors' Mass with the anointing takes place three times a year in November, February, and May.

Baptism

Your child is very special an dour parish community welcomes the opportunity to share with you the celebration of your child's baptism. To help you to participate fully in the celebration, parents are requested to take part in a series of instructions prior to Baptism. Please contact Sr. Beatrice at 782-3456.

Confirmation and First Eucharist

Confirmation and First Eucharist are celebrated together in this Diocese. Regular meetings are held during the Fall/Winter/Spring to prepare for the reception of these sacraments near Easter.

Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated in Grade 3 and over. Parents are involved at every level and meet with the Priest, the Pastoral Assistant and catechists as the time of Reconciliation approaches.

Marriage

Couples preparing for marriage are expected to take an approved Marriage Preparation Course. They should contact the Pastor ONE YEAR before the date of marriage so that adequate preparation can take place. Early notification is necessary in order to complete documents, obtain dispensations, allowtime for preparation courses, etc. If either party is 19 or younger, no date can be set for the wedding until the couple's maturity and readiness have been assessed.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults - RCIA

R.C.I.A. is an experience of prayer, reflection, faith sharing, and learning over an extended period of time, for adults who are considering becoming members of the Catholic Church. Spouses of these inquirers are asked to participate in this process. Adults renewing or updating their faith are also welcome.
